I’ve had quite a few e-mails asking about the White House Museum, so, since the files were still on the GoDaddy server and I still own Tysto.com (my old personal site), I connected the two.
This is not a new or rebuilt site. It’s just the same files. I’m still considering building a whole new site in SquareSpace or WordPress or something.
Thank you very much. I hope you know how important your work to archive White House history is – what a contribution you have made! Thanks again for putting it back up.
I have been so thankful for your vision for this site Derek. It’s been an absolute honor to have been a part of contributing photos and floor plans to that vision. I’ve always appreciated your approach, like that of a White House butler – non-partisan, keeping the content non-political.
The White House Museum site has been quite-simply the best online resource for everything relating to White House history, laid out with a Derek’s masterful vision of interactive floor plans and photos chronologically organized.
In a past conversation with me, Derek correctly predicted that at some point the discovery of new photos significant enough to post would begin to slow down – and it did. I’m sure that any future redesign will be a welcome and paramount location for all to experience this amazing building and workplace.
Cheers to you Derek. I sincerely look forward to any future developments.
Pete
I randomly checked your website and I’m glad to see that the site is alive again!
