I’ve posted dozens of photos from the Kennedy Library in the last few days. Most are terrific color pictures that fill in areas for that period that I didn’t have good photos for already. An additional few also replace inferior versions of the same photos that I’d found in books and elsewhere.
The photo of the Vermeil Room as Curator’s Office is incorrectly labeled. It is the Map Room as the Curator’s Office.
Whitehouse.gov has some rare photos of the Yellow Oval Room during the French state visit last week. Somewhat peach toned walls and reupholstered sofas and chairs are revealed. Contemporary artwork chosen by the Obamas is showcased on the West wall. A complimentary new area rug ties in the new simplified drapery treatments. A very personalized space, I think.
