New Oval Office and more

The White House posted a great new collection of photos on the official Flickr feed several days ago. They include not only interesting angles in the new Oval Office, but glimpses of the Dip Room, the state floor rooms, the Cabinet Room, and even the Oval Office Patio. I’ll be adding some of those to the site in the coming days.

  1. Thank you for providing such a interesting insight to the White House’s furniture and style. The Elliptical Saloon photo shows a beautiful attention to detail and regal style.

I must say I find the two brown sofas in the oval office so out of keeping with the rest of the beautiful furniture in the rest of the Oval office. Is their a reason for this and who choose it?

  2. In the most recent “West Wing Week” video on whitehouse.gov there’s a brief shot in the Oval Office where the president welcomed Staff Sergeant Salvatore Giunta. Behind them appears to be new drapes. They appear to be a reddish/maroon color; very similar to the color of the red strip around the office.

  3. Can you identify the room of the Obamas interview with Barbara Walters to be shown on TV tonight?
