There are some great new photos available on the White House Flickr photostream, including several of the tennis court as a basketball court and some showing new carpet in the West Wing. Thanks to Colton for pointing this out!

Thanks for pointing out those court pics.
Now when are they going to put one of those domes over it?
Found some great pics of the South Portico…maybe you could replace the old pic with one of these (from September) Derek?

Found two photos for your. One of Ford and Hirohito in the Blue Room and another with Hoover and Laval in another location.

The Hoover shot looks like it’s in the old oval office.
I was mistaken. As Derek shows on the museum website, the photo was taken in what is now the Lincoln Bedroom.
Among the latest WH flickr pix is this one of the President’s dining room off of the Oval Office, taken October 22. Note the carpet; it has not been replaced.
Yesterday 12/9 the president made a public statement in a place in the white house which I didn’t recognize. There was a very plain set of white double doors in the background with a lecturn posed in an opening to the outdoors with a kind of wainscoted half wall on each side. There were a couple of potted plants in sight. It had an improvised look. Does anybody recognize the location? (The President came to the lecturn and made a brief statement and then took no questions.)
Martha, send a link to the photo if you have one, but from what you are describing it sounds like the temporary auditorium structure that has been built in the Eisenhower building.
I saw this live on Bloomberg. Not sure I can find a link. Is Eisenhower the same as the Executive Office Building?
Yes, the Eisenhower is the Eisenhower Executive Office Building. Sometimes still referred to as the Old Executive Office Building.
Here are a few photos of the temporary auditorium:

Ahh! Martha you are talking about the Diplomatic Reception Room on the ground level of the White House. You may not have noticed because the lectern was positioned in a different location than usual.

Good call Anonymous, sorry Martha, didn’t know which event you were talking about. I haven’t been following them as much lately. The temporary auditorium is a neat place though too, built to accommodate events during the renovation of the Eisenhower Executive Office Building.
