I’ve added a number of photos in the last couple of days, mostly from the 1960s and 70s and mostly in the West Wing. In the process, I came across this one of Jim Varney from 1986, which I won’t add to the Press Briefing Room page because it doesn’t really illustrate anything other than that the Reagan administration had a pretty bizarre sense of humor—know wut I mean, Vern?
I like the pic of the “new” Green Room through the door. The rug doesn’t look as overpowering as it does in other shots. I hope this is really more what the new rug looks like in person, because the stability of Western Civilization hinges on this one carpet.
Yeah, I agree with John in NOLA. I browsed through the other White House pics in that user’s collection, and they’re pretty good. Maybe you could add some to the site, Derek.
John, truer words were never spoken.
Jordan, while other photos were good, they didn’t really show anything new. Still, I’ll take another look; I did rather like that Red Room pic.
Derek, I forgot to tell you. I emailed you a link to a few YouTube videos with a tour of certain White House rooms from the WHHA.
