West Wing construction

Hmmm. What’s going on at the West Wing? Structural steel beam construction? Is the president adding on a rumpus room?

  1. The photo was sent to me by a visitor. It was just described as “lots of construction”. It’s shot from under the canopy of the ground floor entrance, looking south.

  2. Well I don’t know what it is, but esthetically I’m not crazy about a taller structure bing butted up against the end of that wall.

Perhaps it’s a new entrance to the Sit Room?

  4. Are you sure that is the West Wing? I know for a fact that they are rebuilding the tourist security entrance on the east side across from the Treasury. They have erected a corrigated steel wall around the construction and are using a temporary facility for tourists.

  5. This is a fascinating move. I’m very interested to know why they’d build this thing. Maybe it’s for cannonballs into the pool?
