Fascinated as I am by all things related to the structure of the White House, I’d like to see more pictures of the 1950 excavation, particularly any showing how the WH walls were shored up as new walls were constructed beneath them.
In other words, how can a wall be undermined to construct basement walls beneath it without the original wall above being weakened or collapsing?
